Reflecting on Our Journey with Japan: From TechBIZKON III to EXPO 2025 大阪・関西,

As EXPO 2025 approaches, we reflect on our strong 絆 (bonds) with Japan, winning the TechBIZKON Digital Health Award, joining BioJapan 2022, and fostering business relations at events have paved the way for our collaboration.

As EXPO 2025 in Osaka approaches, we reflect on SCARLETRED’s strong and growing 関係 (Kankei = connection) with Japan. Our journey in the region has been marked by key milestones, starting with our TechBIZKON III victory in 2020, where we won the Digital Health beyond 2020 Award in Japan.

TechBIZKON, an annual event since 2017, fosters collaboration between European and Japanese startups, VCs, and industry leaders. Organized in partnership with Advantage Austria, Business Finland, and EDGEof Shibuya, the event has been a catalyst for technological and economic exchange. At TechBIZKON III, SCARLETRED was awarded Best Startup in Digital Health, reinforcing our leadership in AI-powered dermatology solutions and expanding our strong 系列 (keiretsu = network) in the Japanese market.

Building on this success, we further strengthened our ties with Japan through participation in BioJapan 2022, one of Asia’s leading life science and pharmaceutical trade fairs in Tokyo. This event reflects the Japanese spirit of おもてなし(Omotenashi = hospitality) and allowed us to showcase our innovations to key stakeholders in the biotech, pharma, and healthcare industries.

Beyond industry events, SCARLETRED has also been actively involved in fostering Austrian-Japanese 業務関係 (Gyōmu Kankei = business relations), such as through the Cherry Blossom Business Event, which we proudly sponsored. This intercultural gathering provided a unique setting for networking with Japanese and Austrian representatives while engaging in discussions on business and economic opportunities.

Our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and market expansion in Japan continues to grow, and we are excited to take the next step at EXPO 2025 in Osaka. With Japan being a hub for cutting-edge healthcare and life sciences, we look forward to further strengthening our 信頼 (Shinrai= trust) partnerships and driving AI-powered digital health solutions forward.
